Faces, Fashion & Food
Never have I invested more into a test shoot than this one. In total, we had fifteen people on set and each brought positive, collaborative, upbeat vibes. (My test shoots are usually 3-4 collaborators, to put it in perspective.)
On set, the synergy pulsed through us like electricity.
Our goal was to show enthusiastic expressions of people interacting with food against a vibrant set. Set Designer/Prop Stylist Amy Taylor and I exchanged phone calls, text messages, Google slides, inspiration boards and ideas back and forth, nonstop (literally), for a week leading up to the shoot. Each day , things just fell into place for us, from securing a standout studio to finding amazing talent and crew. Wardrobe Stylist Madeleine Issa took our color palettes and transformed them into textures, jewelry and details. Food Stylist Skylar Edberg executed beautifully on sourcing and building just the right dishes.
We are beyond thrilled with the team we assembled and how our vision came together. It was one for the books.
Would I do it again for an unpaid personal project? 1000x yes.
